THREE IDEAS TO START WITH
01

Three lessons from a recent experience

02

A weekly question with three real examples

03

One topic, two perspectives and a viewer vote

Your 45-minute plan: 0–5 welcome · 5–20 first segment · 20–35 second segment · 35–42 final segment · 42–45 recap and next stream.

STEP BY STEP
01

Prepare the minimum setup

A clear microphone, a quiet room and a simple camera scene are enough. Use headphones if you bring a guest into the call. Keep a short topic list visible beside the camera.

02

Open with a clear promise

“Today we are comparing three things I wish I had known before starting, and I want to hear which one you would change.” State the topic before waiting for chat.

03

Segment one: set the scene

Tell one short story with a beginning, decision and outcome.

04

Segment two: deliver the activity

Explore three questions or examples connected to the topic.

05

Segment three: close the loop

Recap the most useful viewer contribution and choose next week’s topic.

06

Mark one useful clip

Select one question and a complete answer. Remove references that only make sense to people watching live.

YOUR PRACTICAL TASK

Your next action.

Write your opening, run a ten-minute recording using this format, then schedule one manageable first stream. Review one technical issue and one content improvement afterwards.

QUESTIONS BEGINNERS ASK

Before you go live.

How do I avoid awkward silence?+

Prepare stories and examples you can continue without replies. Ask a question, leave a short pause and then give your own answer rather than repeatedly asking whether anyone is there.

Can I react to other videos?+

Plan around material you have the right to show. Your own examples, permitted clips and guest conversations are easier to prepare than an unplanned feed of other people’s work.
