A scorecard is useful when it changes what the team does. Keep a small set of numbers, compare them on the same weekly schedule and turn off-track results into issues to solve.

CONSISTENCY = MORE CHANCES TO LEARN

A practice plan you can repeat.

8 sessions+4 reviews→4 deliberate changes

Example practice schedule. These are actions you control; audience results depend on what you learn and improve.

STEP BY STEP
01

Collect the same numbers every week

Track streams completed, clips edited, posts published and revenue by source. Add relevant audience outcomes such as returning viewers and average viewers. Give each number one owner and define exactly what counts.

02

Compare plan with actual

Set targets your current capacity can support. Mark each number on or off track. A missed posting target might be a review bottleneck rather than an editor problem; inspect the workflow before assigning blame.

03

Choose the most important issue

Put recurring blockers in one list, rank the one that most affects output or quality, and identify its root cause. Discuss the cause, decide the next step and name who owns it.

04

Close with owned actions

Keep each action specific and small enough to finish by the next review. “Approve Wednesday clips by Tuesday 15:00” is actionable; “improve content” is not.

YOUR PRACTICAL TASK

Your next action.

Run a 30-minute review: 5 minutes numbers, 5 minutes previous actions, 15 minutes one issue, 5 minutes next actions.

QUESTIONS BEGINNERS ASK

Before you go live.

Do I need a large dashboard?+

No. A shared spreadsheet is enough to begin. Add automation only when the same manual step is repeatedly slowing the team down.

Should we track every platform metric?+

Start with numbers connected to your weekly decisions. Too many metrics can hide the one bottleneck you need to fix.
