Your first setup
- A laptop or PC, stable connection, camera and microphone.
- Set up OBS. In your Kick dashboard, open Channel → Stream URL and Key. In OBS, choose Settings → Stream → Custom, then paste the server URL and stream key. Kick’s OBS guide shows each step. Keep your stream key private.
- Set your title and category in Kick. Make a short local OBS recording to check picture and sound before going live. Check the category rules and audience settings.
- Set a schedule you can maintain. Our starting suggestion is four or five sessions a week, about two hours each; this is a working routine, not a Kick requirement.
OBS not connecting to Kick?
Copy your current stream key again, especially if you reset it. Kick requires H.264 or x264 with CBR, up to 8,000 kbps, 1080p and 60 fps. Update OBS if needed. Follow Kick’s troubleshooting guide if it still fails.
The content flywheel
Make the clips about a reaction, conversation or story. Link your profiles to one landing page with your Kick channel and, if you use one, Telegram community. Keep promotion links clearly labelled. If the channel becomes profitable, you might test putting 20% of profit back into editing; only spend what the results justify.

Film a walk or event, with consent from people you feature.
Gaming
Build around decisions and reactions. For casino content, check age, location, category and promotion rules before going live.
If your permitted category includes casino content
Clip the human moment, not a promise of winnings: a slot reaction, a conversation with a live dealer, or the anticipation in a game-show format. Check platform rules, operator licence, local advertising rules and age restrictions before creating or promoting any such content.
Tools when you need them
